Nicole Angelic T. Dungog¹ , Sharmaine Eguna² , Aira Cristine Arlalijo³ , Hannah Jean Bongo⁴ & Elysza Kate Cacho⁵ Cordova Public College Gabi, Cordova, Cebu, Philippines Dungognicole11@gmail.com This study evaluated the literacy skills, livelihood skills, usefulness, and relevance of the Skills Development Learning Materials used in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) program at the Rotary Club of Mactan Community Learning Center (CLC). Utilizing a descriptive-evaluative research design, the study examined the current learning materials used by ALS learners to determine its level of skills development and to know the perception of learners towards the usefulness and relevance of these learning materials. Data were gathered from ALS learners using a weighted mean and standard deviation (SD) analysis to profile their perceptions and actual skill attainment. The findings revealed that the learning materials yielded an overall average mean of 2.72 (SD = 0.99) for Literacy Skills , which is interpreted as Upper Intermediate . Similarly, Livelihood Skills recorded an overall mean of 2.66 (SD = 0.96) , also falling within the Upper Intermediate range. Regarding the learners' perceptions, the materials garnered an overall mean of 2.82 (SD = 0.92) for Usefulness and 2.74 (SD = 0.93) for Relevance , both interpreted as Effective . The results suggest that while the learning materials successfully facilitates a transition toward complex knowledge application, the variance indicated by the standard deviations highlights a need for more localized and differentiated support. These findings underscore the importance of aligning learning resources with the specific vocational and contextual needs of ALS learners to ensure sustained engagement and higher levels of skill mastery.

Eskrima, also known as Arnis, is the national martial arts and sports of the Philippines that uses sticks, knives, and various weapons. This study assessed the Eskrima Training Program in Marigondon Elementary School during the 2024–2025 school year to evaluate its effectiveness and propose recommendations for improvement. It measures the extent to which the program enhances students' Arnis skills, identifies the benefits they receive, explores challenges encountered, and investigates the solutions they employ. Using an evaluative research design, the research examines students' perceptions of the program regarding skills and physical and social skills development. Findings indicate that the Eskrima Training Program in Marigondon Elementary School is highly effective in improving students' physical and social skills, having the highest effectiveness rate, and enhancing students' Arnis skills. The training program also encountered problems, which were solved through the resilience of the Eskrimadors, leading to the training program's benefits. The study is highly effective in enhancing students' physical coordination, discipline, and engagement in physical education, proposing recommendations for program enhancement and focusing on skills and physical development.

TEACHER INTERVENTION ON STUDENT'S SOCIAL SKILLS AMONG VISUALLY IMPAIRED LEARNERS JOVELYN DAÑO , et al . Cordova Public College danojovelyn.cte.cpc.023@gmail.com This study aimed to investigate teacher intervention's impact on the social skills development of visually impaired learners within an educational setting. This study utilized qualitative research. The respondents used a random sampling technique, which was done at Marigondon Elementary School, with a sample total of ten (10) teacher- respondents in all grade levels who are handling visually impaired learners. They were permitted to participate in an in-depth interview with the researchers regarding their lived experiences in the teaching field. The themes were derived from the data and analyzed. Findings from the study revealed that teachers have employed various techniques, such as audiovisual aids, user-friendly physical environments, group activities, problem-solving tasks, and individual guidance, to enhance their students' learning. By fostering collaboration, effective classroom management, and using individualized learning plans, these strategies have positively impacted the development of visually impaired students. Despite their effectiveness, challenges remain in encouraging participation and interaction in class, promoting socialization, and addressing the emotional and physiological difficulties associated with low vision. Teachers also foster peer relationships and provide hands-on experiences to address these challenges. Overall, the effectiveness of teachers' interventions and strategies to support the learning and development of visually impaired students has been well demonstrated. Moreover, the study's findings revealed that regular teachers were the prominent resource for learners with visual impairments. The findings found that teachers could not regularly provide services to visually impaired students due to insufficient resources teachers and inadequate teaching materials. Visually impaired kids experienced academic, social, and physical problems that hampered their development, emphasizing the importance of adequate material resources, trained special education teachers, and school adaptive learning environments.
