Abstract

The electronic prototype display (EPD) is instructional material for teaching physics, specifically on the topic of electricity transmission and distribution. This study investigated the effectiveness of electronic prototype display (EPD) in teaching electricity transmission and distribution among grade 9 students in Cordova National High School, Day-as Cordova Cebu, in the school year 2024-2025. An explanatory sequential design is used where the researchers gathered quantitative data with students' scores prior to and after using the electronic prototype display (EPD), followed by qualitative analysis through content expert suggestions. The study established whether there is a statistical difference in student performance following the use of the prototype. It demonstrated its content validity in terms of alignment with learning objectives, instruction quality, and visual appearance. Expert opinion is also sought in order to determine potential areas of improvement for further enhancement of the prototype. Results revealed that the electronic prototype display (EPD) does improve students' knowledge, as indicated through higher post-test scores. Experts on content assessed the prototype high on Alignment of Lesson Objectives and instructional Quality and offered some recommendations for enhancement in the Visual Appearance. Based on the result, further enhancement is proposed to make the prototype more effective as an instructional tool. Therefore, the researchers recommended that teachers should use the Electronic Prototype Display as this material is designed to support and enhance the learning outcomes.
