Abstract

TRACER STUDY OF CPC GRADUATES FROM S.Y 2020 – 2024 Nessa R. Medado¹, Charmelyn Jane I. Guevarra², Jenelle P. Forton³, Danna Shielou C. Lariba⁴, Marvin E. Limpangog Jr.⁵, Mary M. Malubay⁶, Melanie A. Pendang⁷ Cordova Public College, Cebu Philippines nessamedado.cte.cpc@gmail.com/09458075890 A tracer study is important because it tracks and gathers information about the outcomes and experiences of graduates from a particular educational institution. This tracer study was conducted in Cordova Public College to determine the current employment status of graduates from year 2020 to 2024. A total of 200 graduates participated in the study. The researchers used convenience sampling, a descriptive survey method, and a questionnaire checklist based on the CHED Graduate Tracer Study format. The goal was to understand how many graduates were employed and whether their jobs were related to their college degrees. The results showed that most of the respondents were female and residents of Cordova. Out of 200 respondents, there were 179 employed, 21 were unemployed, and 0 had been unemployed, meaning all had work experience at some point. The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) program had the highest employment rate. The course with the lowest employment rate was Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science (BSED Science). Most Education graduates found jobs related to their course. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the college raise the passing rate for major exams from 60% to 75% and launch a comprehensive professional education training program (Prof. Ed.).
